Dutch (Male, age 5)

Woof, woof! My name is Dutch and thanks for checking me out. My foster dad thinks I should have been named Herbie because I am a real LOVE BUG. I am a very lucky Double Merle Sheltie boy, as I have vision in my right eye (and some in my left eye) and have some hearing as well! I love nothing more than lying in your lap and falling asleep. I get along great with my foster brothers. I am very embarassed to have lost my Sheltie coat, but I came into rescue extremely matted. But I am starting to get all fuzzy again.
<datePosted>11/20/2008</datePosted>

Hank (Male, age 7)

Thank you, Margie and Dickie Britt for helping me with my medical expenses!! WOOF..WOOF..
I have a little problem with my thyroid and I had to get some testing, as you can see I need to loose a few pounds but that is due to the thyroid issue, which by the way is very cheap to treat on a monthly basis. I owe TED (The Evil Doctor) $175 for the care that he provided me. If you are able to help me, maybe I can find a forever home instead of working my bill off with TED.
My name is Henry but I would prefer that you call me Hank. My foster dad tells me that I am a true testament of the resilience of man's best friend! I came into rescue as a "dude with a 'tude". My foster dad thinks I was subjected to some physical and verbal abuse in my past. But since coming into rescue, being doted on and going on daily medication to help regulate my thyroid, well, I am a different Sheltie boy altogether. I get along great with other dogs (well, I am a little protective of my food bowl) and give soft kisses. I love nothing more than lying by my foster dad's side or at his feet. I have lost some of my excess weight (I am no longer known as "Hank the Tank") but still need to shed a couple of pounds that TED think will be best accomplished through regular exercise. Check back soon for a picture of the new me!
<datePosted>3/6/2008</datePosted>

June's Molly (Female, age 8)

Thanks to all my supporters. My ear surgery turned out better than we hoped for and each day I'm feeling better and better.

Woof..Woof..
During Molly's stay in rescue, however, we have discoved that she has chronic and persistent ear infections in both ears. First line treatments (ear flushings, ointments and antibiotics) have failed. TED ("The Excellent Doctor") has recommended that Molly have surgery on both ears to open up her ear canals in order to relieve her ear pain AND save her hearing! Without the surgery Molly will go deaf and will continue to be in pain. The surgery is estimated to cost $500 for each year, $1000 for the pair. We (that's Molly and the TSR Board of Directors) sure hope you will feel moved to help. Molly is such a sweet girl, we would just feel terrible if we didn't provide her with the best chance for a pain free life in someone's loving arms!! Oh, and the opportunity to be surrounded by the voices of those who love her.

A big thank you to Fran.. woof, woof!
Hi,

My name is Molly. I am an 8 yr old, sable and white dog. I am very gentle and lovable and have been spayed, had all my shots, including rabies. I am very laid back and love people and get along great with other dogs and even cats. I love to give lots of kisses, and I am very happy and playful and wag my tail to show you just how happy I am. I am house broken and will let you know when I have to go outside. I love the outdoors and riding in the car and when inside I lay down without being told to do so. I am searching for the right home where there are loving people who have time for me and all the love I have to give. I am a great joy to be with. I need a home that has a fenced in yard and a family that wants to spend time with me and share all the love I have to offer. I will be a great addition to your family and a great joy to your life. Please find room in your home and heart for me.

Here are some recent pictures of me taken by my foster Mom.

Parker (Male, age 6 1/2 years)

HI IM PARKER AND I AM READY TO GO GO GO LETS GO FOR A WALK LETS PLAY WITH THE TOY LETS RUN AROUND AND RUN AROUND AND RUN AROUND! OK, I think Id better calm down a bit. I guess the short story about me is that I have energy to burn and I need some help learning how to handle it. Ive been an only dog all my life, and I dont always get along with other dogs, especially if food is involved. My foster mom and her dog have been teaching me some manners, but I would probably do best as an only dog. I am a little shy with new people, but I adore being petted and cuddled when I get to know you. And I love to fetch my squeaky fleece bone! A securely fenced yard would be great so I can run and play safely. I need a home where the people will reassure me with lots of love, teach me how to be a gentleman, and PLAY with me!
<datePosted>11/5/2008</datePosted>

Skippy (Male, age 11)

A big huge thank you to Pat and Clark Belvin for sponsoring Skippy!! WOOF WOOF!!!

My name is Skippy and thanks for taking time to learn more about me. A friend of a TSR volunteer was walking out of an animal shelter when I was walking (well, being walked) in. The rest, as they say, is history. I am a very spunky 11 year old and plan to be around for a few more years. I would do best in a home with no little two-legged ones. I get along great with other dogs, so long as they don't get too close to my food bowl.
<datePosted>6/22/2008</datePosted>
