About Nick
Hello, my name is Nick. I came to TSR a couple of months ago when my owner had to move to an assisted living facility. Me and my foster family think I am ready now to find my forever home. Im a slim, handsome fellow at 19-20 pounds that just turned 7 back in February. I look cuddly but my foster family has figured out that Im not used to snuggling. They are determined to teach me that snuggles are good . . . and I do like affection once I really get to know you. I do know my name, but Im hesitant to come near new friends at first. Foster Mom and Dad are feeding me dry food, but I really sit up and pay attention when people food is around. I cant help that it just smells really good! Both the groomer and the vet say Im such a sweet boy. I get along fine with the other fur kids dogs and cats but Im really more interested in my new humans. I do get a bit jealous if the other fur kids interfere with my human time. Loud noises - thunder, kids, parking lots, ice makers are all scary to me. For some reason, I must run up and down the deck and chase the lawn mower. Foster Mom & Dad say Im a true Sheltie because I like it better when my humans are in the same room so I can keep an eye on them. I also like to lay by the front windows and front door to keep watch. I have terrific bathroom manners as long as you keep me on schedule. Foster Mom & Dad say I have an impressive vertical leap and can run like the wind. I dont know what that means, but they dont let me stay out in the fence by myself. My foster mom and dad feel I would do best in a home that is quiet (no small children please) and a home where my humans are stay at home folks and don't have day jobs outside the home.
