|
Ollie is available for adoption with stipulations. Ollie is a beautiful young boy that had little contact with humans before coming to sheltie rescue. During his early days in foster care he messed up and bit a human that picked him up wrong and then he got thrown in animal jail two times. Ollie really wants to be a loving dog and to find his special human. He tends to like men more than women but can adjust to either. Ollie is looking for a person who is familiar with fearful dogs and will continue to work with him on gaining self-confidence through training. Ollie has taken some agility classes for dogs that are scared. He will bond best with someone who has plenty of time to spend with him. His human will need plenty of patience and realize when to back away from him and let him be. Ollie is a special needs placement and requires his new owner to have experience with behaviorally challenged dogs (he is not a dog for an adopter to use as a learning experience). Ollie's new home must have a fenced yard (absolutely NO exceptions), so there will be no worries about him being scared on walks to potty. Ollie does not like to be groomed or have his nails trimmed. Individuals who have been approved to adopt through TSR will be separately screened for a match with Ollie, due to his special needs. Please note TSR only adopts to residents of NC. |
