Skye, unfortunately has a form of chronic bronchitis (x-rays show signs) and/or a possible collapsing trachea. For some reason the smaller shelties seem to suffer from these problems. Unfortunately, the x-ray also showed he is arthritis in his spine. I always wondered why he yelped when I picked him up, I could never figure out what hurt. Now, I know. ;-((( He also has a yeast infection on his skin (and looking forward to medicated baths). Poor baby!
Skye is little but holds his own in the pack. He loves to sit and shake for you. In general he is a well-mannered man but being a boy he has a few bad habits. He is a typical sheltie and barks to protect his yard or when he's ready to come in the house. He's a real cuddle bug. Skye is about 10 inches tall and weighs 14 pounds. Please note TSR only adopts to residents of NC.
UPDATE: Skye is one sweet little sheltie--loves attention and affection. He is fully housetrained, loves to cuddle, has impeccable manners, walks well on leash, has a superb recall and has no problem with kids or cats. He isn't a big barker but is happy to join a canine chorus. Skye would fit in nicely with any family, but would prefer to be with his people as much as possible. |
