We need a caring volunteer or adopter to step up for Thor, a sweet, well-mannered Sheltie who needs a new foster or forever home! His current situation means we need help finding him the right environment.
Thor is a true joy to have around. He loves children and is a great companion for other dogs. When he gets excited, he has an adorable habit of spinning in circles! This bigger-than-average Sheltie (17 inches, 31 pounds) has a few clever tricks up his paws, including counter-surfing and climbing baby gates.
He's happiest in a calm home with a secure yard where he can relax and play freely, rather than going on frequent walks or trips. Because he once managed to slip through a wrought iron fence, we're seeking a home with a secure, 6-foot privacy fence to keep this smart boy safe.
While he can be a little anxious sometimes, a small dose of medication helps him feel comfortable and at ease.
