In Memoriam: Skipper

Skipper enjoying the outdoors
|
We brought Skipper home and into our lives nine years ago after he had been rescued from a terrible situation. It took him quite a while to realize that we were
not going to hurt him but once he knew how much we loved and wanted him he blossomed into the most lovable, sweetest dog ever.
He loved playing with his toys with dad, going for walks with our other Sheltie Sadie, and sleeping in bed with mom getting his night time snack.
He was so smart...it was like he could tell time and he kept us on a tight schedule.
When he was diagnosed with cancer this past April, we were heartbroken. They told us he had maybe 30 days to live but he gave us five more months.
Hurricane Florence was not kind to us and the many days without power was just too much for him. We helped him cross the Rainbow Bridge on Tuesday September 18, 2018.
Skipper...our hearts are broken but we know you are free from pain now, running around barking with your tail wagging!! We will see you again someday doodle bug,
but until then our lives will not be the same without you here. We love you!!
